Intended use

The ALLTRANS program is used for fast, clear conversion or transformation between coordinates of different mathematical representation or geodetic systems. It runs under the operating systems Windows XP – Windows 10.

Features

Conversions between Gauss-Krüger coordinates, UTM coordinates, geographic coordinates and 3D Cartesian coordinates are possible. If the geodetic datum of start and target system is not identical, the then necessary datum transition in 3D space can be done by means of a 7-parameter transformation according to the Bursa-Wolf model. The parameters can be calculated using identical points and saved to a file. The calculation of the parameters can be done by standard L2 adjustment or by adjustment with re-weighting (robust parameter estimation). A statistical outlier test after parameter estimation is also possible.

The following earth ellipsoids are implemented as reference ellipsoids of possible geodetic data:

· DHDN, Bessel-Ellipsoid

· S42, Krassowski-Ellipsoid

· ETRS89, WGS84-Ellipsoid

· ED50, Hayford-Ellipsoid

· User1, GRS80-Ellipsoid

· User2, WGS72-Ellipsoid

· User3, Internationales Ellipsoid

· User4, Everest-Ellipsoid

· User5, Clarke1880-Ellipsoid

· User6, Clarke1866-Ellipsoid

The conversion can be done by manual input of the coordinates or by file input. The manually entered coordinates can optionally be saved to a file. In case of data input by means of file, the output is basically also to a file. Name and directory of the files are freely selectable. The contents of the files can be displayed at any time.

The mathematical accuracy of the conversion within a GK meridian strip is on average about 0.1 millimeter. The GK meridian strip is calculated automatically by default when converting to Gauss-Krüger, but can also be specified (the same applies to UTM).

The manual data input is checked for incorrect entries. An incorrect entry is indicated.
